Covering an area of 8.81 hectares, Liang Isle was separated from Nanjing Railway Station by the water of Xuanwu Lake. Liang Isle is thus named because it was a reading site for Prince Zhaoming in the Liang Dynasty to compile Analects. It is an isle which was opened up at the earliest time on Xuanwu Lake. In the Ming Dynasty, Liang Isle was one of the sites for storing Yellow Books (household registration files) on Xuanwu  Lake. On the isle, there is a bonsai garden, in which flower exhibitions are held all the year round. Among them, chrysanthemum exhibitions in autumn are the most spectacular. Therefore, Liang Isle is reputed as “An isle of autumn chrysanthemum”.
